Richard Bloom is an expert in the field of Personal Safety. He has publishedtwo bookson the subject and has conducted over 600 Safety Programs to Fortune 500 Companies, Women’s Organizationsand over 70 school Districts(including Region 4 & 6 ESC.) Community:
In 1993, Richard ran for City Council in Houston’s District G (Galleria Area). He used his speaking ability to create the need for more police presence at a time when Houston Crime was high.
HISD: In 1995, he published “Keeping Kids Safe” and raised sponsor money to print 30,000 copies in English and Spanish to donate to teachers and parents in the Houston ISD for child safety programs.
Richard has donated his speaking ability to benefit groups like: Santa Maria Women’s Shelter; Houston Children Shelter; Children’s Impact Center (Cleveland, TX); River Oaks Baptist Church, Kiwanis Prayer breakfast, Lions Clubs, Rotary and numerous Women’s Organizations.
Motivational Speaking: Featured speaker for companies such as Merrill Lynch, United Space Alliance, U.S. Postmasters, Miller Brewing, Finger Furniture, MCI and New Caney and Cleveland School Districts.
Funday in the Park: Richard and his late wife Sherry Lewis raised millions of dollars of sponsor money to support Houston’s Funday in the Park program held in various City Parks to benefit low income families.
